Bio: I was born in Okinawa, Japan, the child of an Air Force family, and eventually landed in Omaha where I spent junior high and high school falling in love with theater. I've been singing longer than I can remember. According to mother, it's been ever since I could create sound. I moved to chicago in 1999, after one year at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as an opera performance major, to attend the Chicago College of Performing Arts Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University, which, besides having a long name, has a great theatre program. I graduated in 2003, armed with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, and every intention of making a career out of the stage. However, after performing in a wonderful production of "Fiddler on the Roof" as Hodel with Light Opera Works, I realized that maybe I needed a break after four years of intense theatre training. In the meantime, I'd keep up my chops by singing at the Hyatt Regency downtown. Through this venue, and through the wonderful support of other performers and wonderful audience members, I have slowly started my journey down a path that will hopefully lead to a lifelong career of vocal performance.
